January 2010
ATR announces stabilization in 2009 of its previous year results, thus reaching its main goals for the year despite the adverse situation of the economy: new turnover record of US $ 1.4 billion in 2009 (2008: US $ 1.3 billion), and 54 aircraft delivered (2008: 55), thus consolidating delivery rate over 50 aircraft per year.

March 2010
The ATR 42-600 pre-series aircraft successfully takes to the sky for the first time in Toulouse. The aircraft, powered with Pratt & Whitney 127M engines, takes off at 3.00 pm (local time) and completes a 2-hour flight, thus starting a flight test campaign of approximately 75 hours.

Leading regional turboprop manufacturer ATR and world-renowned Italian design house Giugiaro Design unveil their partnership for the development of the new ATR -600 series cabin, named ARMONIA.
