The ATR 72-600, the new member of its aircraft family, obtains certification by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
A prerequisite for the aircraft's entry into service, this certification covers the new equipment on the aircraft, and is the successful conclusion to a series of ground and flight tests conducted on the ATR 72-600 prototype. -
June 2011
ATR keeps increasing its outstanding order book at 2011’s historical Paris Air Show : 88 firm orders (plus 42 options) since the beginning of the year.
Since the beginning of the programme, ATR has sold 1,162 aircraft and delivered 929. -

ATR renewed and expanded its ISO 14001 certification , concerning businesses’ adherence to environmental standards. The broadening in scope of this certification enables ATR to become the first regional aircraft manufacturer to obtain ISO 14001 certification covering the entire lifecycle of the aircraft: design, parts and equipment purchases, transportation of aircraft subassemblies, customization, painting, plane operation by airlines, technical and operational support, and specific customer support to the -500 and -600 series ATR aircraft.

ATR delivers its first two ATR 72-600s. The aircraft will be operated by Royal Air Maroc which will be the first operator of the new ATR “-600” series.

With Virgin Australia partner Skywest airlines inaugurating ATR 72-500 services, ATR Regional Aircraft adds Australia to an already-extensive list of Asia-Pacific markets where ATR 72-500 aircraft operate.
