ATR present at APATS 2018

For the second consecutive year, ATR took part in the Asia Pacific Airline Training Symposium (APATS), on 28-29 August, in Singapore. This annual event is the most important aeronautical training event in the Asia-Pacific region. With more than 600 participants, this 15th edition attracted professionals and experts from around the world. The participants discussed innovations and best practice for pilot and crew training in order to optimise flight safety, with a new topic being added this year: maintenance crew training.

The members of the ATC and our Singapore subsidiary worked throughout APATS to present our services and training centers to attendees and the Asian media, through two press conferences and a symposium on the new technologies being used in training. Visits to our Training Center in Singapore were organised for the various operators, such as Lao Airlines, Novo Air, Myanmar Airline, Pelita, Drukair, Indigo and Virgin Australia. Finally, an ATR stand offered 3D demonstrations of the various tablet-based pilot, flight crew and maintenance crew training solutions.

As world leader of the regional aviation market, our participation at APATS is part of our commitment to supporting our operators in Asia-Pacific, where the number of ATRs in service has doubled in less than 10 years. At present, nearly 440 of our aircraft are flying in this region, or one third of the ATRs operated worldwide.
