ATR talks Finance and the Operating Environment at the 26th Aviation Summit Africa
From the 8th to the 10th of May, in Johannesburg, ATR made a key contribution to the 26th African Aviation Summit: Air Finance Africa. This conference represents an excellent opportunity for key stakeholders within the African Aviation to come together to discuss issues that may have a significant impact on the local aviation industry.
With a particular focus on finance, the conference is also an excellent forum for networking, allowing representatives from ATR’s sales and marketing teams to make useful contacts for the future.
Africa is key market for ATR, as it is a regional aviation segment that will continue to grow. ATR’s market forecast suggests that the Africa and Middle East regions will have an annual growth of 4.1%, seeing the creation of 400 new routes and requiring the delivery of 300 new aircraft to service them. Understanding the financing options available to the region’s players is important to being able to respond to the needs of current and future customers or operators.
Amongst the many panel discussions, ATR provided an input into the session entitled ‘The Airline Finance & Operating Environment in Africa.’ As the market leader in regional aviation, ATR’s insight and expertise as an OEM is naturally important to the conference’s attendees. As the African market continues to develop, it is important that ATR remains a trusted and valued presence for our customers, operators and the passengers on this continent.
