Come and watch our demo flight at AirExpo!
Saturday 20th May at the Muret-Lherm airfield, come and see us at a pop-up village dedicated to aeronautics and the aviation of tomorrow.
This annual airshow that has been running since 1987 thanks to the joint efforts of student engineers at ENAC (École Nationale de l’Aviation Civile) and ISA-SUPAERO (Institut Supérieur de l’Aéronautique et de l’Espace), has gradually built a strong connection between the public and the field of aeronautics.
Every year, AirExpo welcomes more than 30 000 visitors in a single day. With an ever growing reputation, this event has made a name for itself as one of the biggest airshows in France.
ATR has been an event sponsor since the very first edition in 1987 and true to form, we will take centre stage once more this year for the 31st edition, showing both an aircraft on the ground and a demonstration flight.
Our pilots will be at the controls of the ATR 72-600 MSN 098 prototype for an 8 minute flight presentation to showcase the flight qualities of the ATR and to demonstrate its excellent short take-off and landing performance, along with its environmental friendliness with the very low level of noise generated.
The flight is scheduled to take place at 2.38 pm.
AirExpo is a whole aeronautics village where numerous exhibitors and associations come together. Every edition has its own theme. In 2017, the students organising will be sharing their passion through the prism of the future: “The Aviation of Tomorrow”. There are all sorts of learning and cultural activities planned, aiming to raise awareness of the world of aeronautics in young people and children and to generate enthusiasm for the field as a career option.
