Preparing for the future of training at APATS 2017
ATR attended the Asia Pacific Airline Training Symposium (APATS) 2017, held on 29-30 August in Singapore. This annual conference and tradeshow is the largest and most influential aviation training event in the Asia Pacific Region. With more than 600 attendees, it brought together senior training professionals and experts from around the world to share best practice in pilot and cabin crew training.
More than 250 companies attended APATS 2017, including airlines, airports, aviation authorities and regulators, training providers, equipment manufacturers and software providers. The theme for this year’s conference was “A critical safety-driven industry prepares for the future”, comprising two conference streams: pilot training and cabin crew training.
It was an outstanding opportunity to discuss about personnel supply and demand, competency and evidence-based training, simulation technology, as well as safety and security, human factors, regulatory issues, e-learning technologies, and incident de-briefs.
The ATR Training Center is an undeniably attractive feature in our aircraft selling processes, and APATS was a key event for us to further promote our training expertise, as well as our innovative, and yet cost-effective, training solutions around the world.
