Jean-Pierre Cousserans | Senior Vice-President Customer Services open

Jean-Pierre Cousserans graduated in Aeronautical Engineering from the French National Institute of Civil Aviation (ENAC) in June 1990.

He started with Aerospatiale (today EADS) by working on reliability analysis and continued airworthiness within the Engineering Department of ATR Product Support.

In February 1994, he was appointed Assistant to the Senior Vice-President Product Support of ATR, particularly in charge of organizational issues. During this period, he was involved in setting up the Customer Services Organization of the newly formed AI(R) Aero International (Regional).

He moved to the Spares Support Department of AI(R) in September 1996, to become Director of Spares Distribution covering ATR, Jetstream and Avro related activities.

In October 1997, he was appointed Director of Spares Provisioning and Inventory Control of AI(R) and subsequently of ATR after July 1998. In addition, in October 1999, Jean-Pierre Cousserans took charge of the Spares Repair & Overhaul Department of ATR.

In June 1st 2001, he was appointed in the position of General Secretary within the new ATR organization. He was then particularly involved in implementing a complete re-engineering of the main processes of ATR.

At the end of 2003 he joined Airbus Customers Services as Business Development Director. 

As of October 1st, 2004, Jean-Pierre Cousserans is appointed Senior Vice-President Customer Services of ATR.

Jacques Desbarats | Senior Vice-President Commercial open

Jacques Desbarats is qualified with a Doctorate in Atomic and Nuclear Physics from the University of Toulouse in 1970, and started his career with Aerospatiale in February 1972 in the Aerodynamic Department of the Design Office.

He moved to Aerospatiale's Commercial Department in 1978 as responsible for negotiation and management of Concorde and Epsilon Aircraft contracts.

He then moved on to the Commercial Directorate of ATR in 1982, taking on the responsibility of Aircraft Contracts Management, and of Aircraft Deliveries. In 1990 he became responsible for the management of Head-lease and Sub-lease Contracts, and of a newly created division for Second-Hand Aircraft Acceptance within the Contracts & Sales Finance Directorate, in respect of ATR's aircraft portfolio.

In 1996 he instigated, and created, the "Asset Management" Business Unit of AI(R), a then newly formed joint venture, and was appointed Vice President Asset Management. On dissolution of AI(R), he became ATR's Executive Vice President Asset Management.

After being appointed Deputy SVP Asset Management & Support Commercial in 1999 he was promoted as Vice President Contracts & Asset Management under a reorganised management structure at ATR, in June 2001.

In July 2005 he was appointed Senior Vice President Contracts & Asset Management.

Jacques Desbarats is now ATR's Senior Vice President Commercial, a position he took on in June 2007. His responsibilities extend to the negotiation and management of ATR's commercial relations with customers worldwide.

Sylvie Kandé de Beaupuy | ATR General Counsel open

Sylvie Kandé de Beaupuy graduated in private law at the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne.

She joined the international law firm Clifford Chance in Paris in 1984.

As a French law ”Avocat” member of the Paris Bar, specialized in corporate finance and mergers & acquisitions, she was in charge of advising the senior management of international groups on corporate, commercial and tax law.

In addition, she also took charge of the Italian interest group located in Paris since the opening of an associated office in Rome and also a tutor and examiner at University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne, giving lectures and tutorials to post-graduate students.

Appointed as Counsel within Clifford Chance in 1998, she was dedicated to the EADS Group as from 1999 and was closely involved in M&A and restructuring transactions of business units of EADS.

She joined ATR in 2003 where she took up the position of General Counsel, in charge of the Legal Affairs Department.

Luigi Lombardi | Senior Vice President Operations open

Luigi Lombardi graduated in Aeronautical Engineering Degree, with full honors, from the Politecnico of Naples in 1981.

After an experience as Philips’ Audio and Video systems Area Manager, he joined the aerospace industry in 1982 with Aeritalia (Alenia in 1990), where he started as Aircraft Systems Technician on the programs G222 and ATR.

In 1985, he was appointed Aeritalia Quality Control Representative on the ATR program and was based at Aérospatiale (Toulouse).

In 1988, he was appointed Quality Control Manager in the Capodichino plant (Italy), where he worked on the G222, ATR and B707 tanker transformation programs.

Two years later, he was appointed Production Director in Capodichino, and headed the Aircraft transformation programs: DC 8 Cargo, B707 Tanker, and ATR ”Nervure 2”.

His career progressed in 1993, when he was appointed Director of Manufacturing at the Dee Howard Company in San Antonio Texas (USA).

Back in Italy, in the middle of 1994 he was appointed Head of the Casoria facility of Alenia Aerospazio, involved in the production of small sheet metal parts and Structural assembling.

In 1996, he was appointed Head of Nola 1, and Nola 2 Facilities, a brand new highly automated facility. The Nola facility is involved in manufacturing (machined parts and large skins) and assembling (open aeronautical structures), and employs approximately 850 persons. Luigi Lombardi headed the plant through an intense setting phase and an industrial ramp up, bringing it to the full production rates.

In the new ATR organization, as of June 1st 2001, he is appointed Senior Vice-President Operations.

Stéphane Mayer | Chief Executive Officer hide

Stéphane Mayer holds an engineering degree from the French school Polytechnique. Furthermore, he has degrees from the National School of Statistics & Economics and the Paris Institute of Political Studies.

He began his career in 1986 as an external auditor before taking responsibility of internal auditing for Lagardère Group (Matra Hachette) in 1992. He then moved to Matra Automobile in 1997 as Vice President Finance and Administration, and became a member of the management board in 2001.
 
Since 2003, he was Chairman and CEO of EADS Socata. He was named CEO of ATR on June 1st 2007.
 
Stéphane Mayer is an active private pilot, instrument-rated. He is Chevalier de l'Ordre National du Mérite.

Aldo Mucciardi | Senior Vice-President General Secretary open

Aldo Mucciardi graduated in Aeronautical Constructions at the Enrico Fermi Institute of Naples in 1970. He started his studies the Commercial and Economic studies department at the University of Naples, and in 1973 joined Aeritalia. He began working in the military aircraft commercial area in Turin.

In 1976, he left Italy for Seattle. He spent two years in Boeing essentially working on a joint business planning aimed to support the B767 aircraft launch decision process and the relevant partnership contractual scheme definition.

In 1978, he was appointed New Business Financial Evaluation Manager of Aeritalia in Naples. He was part of the Aeritalia/Aerospatiale team in charge of defining the contractual relationship GIE/Partners since the onset of the ATR Program.

In 1985, as Director, he was entrusted charge of Business Planning, always in Naples, while he retained the responsibility of international co-operations (business aspects of joint ventures and partnerships). During this period, he strictly worked with ATR and Aérospatiale for improving the contractual relations and the ATR financial performances as well.

After one year as Commercial Director of Aeronavali (Venice), with the setting up of Alenia, at end 1991, he was called in Rome to take responsibility of the Alenia Aircraft Division Financial Controlling.

In 1994, he moved to Turin as Director of Planning and Control of Military Programs.

He joined ATR at beginning of 1996, as vice-president, assuming various responsibilities as of June 2005, such as Logistics, Controlling, Contracts Administration and Asset Management.

In July 2005, the Board of Directors appointed Aldo Mucciardi as the General Secretary of ATR.

Alain Prat | ATR Human Resources open

Alain Prat obtained a Commercial and Technical Brevet de Technicien Supérieur (Advanced technician’s diploma) completed by a training at the Institut d'Administration des Entreprises de Bordeaux.

He began his professional activity in 1971 in service and machine tool small and medium-sized businesses.

He successively held different positions as management controller, sales engineer and purchaser.

In 1978, he joined the socioprofessional training environment and spend 12 years at the ASFO Béarn Bigorre where his career progressed as training and recruitment adviser and manager of a training center.

In 1990, he joined the Aerospatiale light aircraft subsidiary, SOCATA in Tarbes (France) as resource development manager and Human Resources Director.

At the end of 1998, he joined Aerospatiale ATR where he was in charge of Human Resources and subsidiary setting up.

As of June 2001, he is appointed as Head of Human Resources of both ATR and EADS ATR.

Giovanni Tramparulo | Senior Vice-President Finance (CFO) open

Giovanni Tramparulo is graduated cum laude in Economics from the University of Naples - Facoltà di Economia e Commercio - with business studies at Ecole Supérieure de Commerce et d'Administration in Lausanne, Swizerland.

He started his career in the aeronautical industry in 1985 at the Treasury Department of Aeritalia in Naples with the responsibility of managing foreign currencies and moved in 1988 to the Headquarters of Alenia in Rome where he was responsible for Export Finance and Special Projects covering military and civil aircraft worldwide for all the divisions.

In 1992 he moved to ATR where he has been responsible of sales financing for number of airlines in Europe, USA and Middle East. In 1997 he took the responsibility of the Department of Sales Financing at ATR and subsequently took over the responsibilities related to Credit Management and Risk Management.

He is a lecturer for finance and aircraft sales financing with the Faculty of Aeronautics of the University of Rome which has developed a Master in Air Transport for the benefit of engineers working in the aviation industry.

In June 2007 Giovanni Tramparulo has been appointed in the position of Senior Vice President Finance & CFO.
